We use 6061 aluminum alloy, a high-density, light-weight, high-strength aviation aluminum material. It has many magnesium and silicon alloy characteristics, good processing performance, good corrosion resistance, high toughness, and is not easy to deform after processing. The material is compact and easy to polish and color.

Material Selection

The raw material is 6061 aluminum alloy molten cast rod. The forging blank is made of 6061 aluminum alloy, which is better in material, strength, ductility and durability than A356.2 aluminum for casting.

Forging

The preheated aluminum block is placed in a precision-designed mold. These molds are carefully built according to the final shape and size of the wheel rim, ensuring that the forged wheel rim has precise geometric features and dimensional accuracy. The internal structure design of the mold is crucial to the quality and performance of the wheel rim.

Spinning

The blank is fixed on the die of the spinning machine. While the blank is moving with the spindle of the machine tool, the blank is pressed by the spinning wheel to produce local plastic deformation. Under the combined action of the feeding motion of the spinning wheel and the rotation motion of the blank, the local plastic deformation gradually expands to the entire surface of the blank and adheres closely to the die, completing the spinning process of the wheel blank.

Painting

It mainly consists of four lines: washing line, base powder spraying line, painting line, and transparent powder spraying line. After fine grinding and surface treatment, the forged wheels present a smooth surface. These wheels not only give people a sense of beauty visually, but also provide stable and reliable support for the car.

Forged Wheel Industry Knowledge Extension

Custom Forged Wheels: A Technological in Automotive Design

The automotive industry is a testament to the relentless pursuit of innovation and performance. One area where this is particularly evident is in the evolution of wheel technology. Forged wheels, with their unique combination of strength, durability, and aesthetic appeal, have become a hallmark of high-performance vehicles.

The Art of Forging

Forging is an ancient metalworking technique that involves shaping metal by applying force to it while it is in a malleable state, typically heated to a high temperature. This process allows for the creation of complex shapes with a high degree of precision and strength. In the context of wheel manufacturing, forging involves the following steps:

1. Heating: The raw material, usually a billet of aluminum or alloy, is heated to a specific temperature to make it pliable.

2. Forging: The heated metal is then placed in a die and subjected to immense pressure, which shapes it into the desired wheel form.

3. Cooling: After forging, the wheel is cooled to room temperature, which helps to lock in the shape and strength of the wheel.

4. Finishing: The forged wheel undergoes various finishing processes, such as machining, polishing, and painting, to achieve the final product.

Advantages of Forged Wheels

1. Strength and Durability: Forged wheels are renowned for their strength. The forging process allows for the creation of a denser grain structure in the metal, which translates to greater durability and resistance to impact.

2. Lightweight: Despite their strength, forged wheels are lighter than their cast counterparts. This weight reduction can significantly improve a vehicle's performance, handling, and fuel efficiency.

3. Precision: The forging process ensures a high level of precision in the wheel's dimensions, which is crucial for maintaining consistent performance and reducing the risk of alignment issues.

4. Customization: Forged wheels offer a high degree of customization, allowing manufacturers and enthusiasts to tailor the wheel's design to specific performance requirements or aesthetic preferences.

Deep Concave Custom Forged Wheels

Deep concave custom forged wheels represent the development of wheel design. The concave shape not only adds a distinctive visual appeal but also provides several functional benefits:

1. Aesthetics: The concave design gives the wheel a more aggressive and sporty look, which is highly sought after in the automotive customization community.

2. Stance: The concave profile can enhance the vehicle's stance, making it appear lower and more grounded, which is particularly desirable in performance and luxury vehicles.

3. Space: The concave shape can provide additional clearance for larger brakes, which is essential for high-performance vehicles that require enhanced stopping power.

As technology advances, so does the capability to create more sophisticated and efficient forged wheels. Innovations in materials science and manufacturing techniques what is possible in wheel design.

Custom forged wheels are more than just a component of a vehicle; they are a statement of performance and style. The forging process imbues these wheels with a unique combination of strength, lightness, and precision that is unmatched by other manufacturing methods. As the automotive world continues to evolve, the demand for high-quality, custom-tailored forged wheels is likely to grow, reflecting the industry's commitment to advanced and innovation.
